A fi. fa. (it stands for fieri facias), otherwise known as a writ of execution, is a court document that instructs a sheriff to seize and sell a defendantís property in order to satisfy a monetary judgment against the defendant, issued by the clerk of the court. By recording a fi. fa., a lien is created on any real property owned by the judgment debtor within the county the action was filed in.

This is one of the post-judgment legal tools that Atlanta Lawyer Group will utilize.
